So goes the story. Thomas was alone. Thomas was also a simple red rectangle. And yet this did not stop him from doing something about his loneliness. It is hard to say anything about this game. It is a stroke of art. Mastery of brilliance. To evoke such feelings as regret, happiness, sadness, empathy.. Well, I would have laughed at the one who told me it could be done with a ragtag group of coloured rectangles of all sizes and forms.

Previously I speculated about how Demon Hunters would finally join the expanded family of available classes. Now would be a good time to elaborate what Demon Hunter would do, how would they do it, and who would lead them until they were capable of doing it on their own. Today, we shall once more dive into pit of speculation that is at times based on nothing more than wishful thinking.

Just like the pendulum that swings l i f e, so does my mood about Antichamber swings every so often. Now is on one side, in next moment on the other. Antichamber is a first person psychological exploration game that tries to twist Euclidean logic and prove it wrong. It is more than that, it is a game that draws inspiration from M. C. Escher's litographies and works in general featuring impossible realities.

It is fun to imagine that murlocs inhabiting the shores of Ghostlands could once more become a real threat. That is a lie. It is horrible. Pure horror. Anyone who ever encountered a pack of murlocs in time before heirlooms, knows what I am talking about. You only need one more murloc spine, just one more murloc has to die, and then you are safe. You are home. You will never again hear another murloc screech, and deep inside, you are thankful for the nightmare will be over. And then this one murloc runs away from you with shred of health and calls three of his friends to help him.
It should be said that what will be written here will be in most a wishful thinking, and what remains pure guess work. The only thing reliable here, is that all this wishful thinking and guessing has its roots in the game. There will be speculation about future expansion, which could be as reliable as augur's divinations. You have been warned, and if you are still interested, you are welcome to continue reading.

At the start of this week something happened. Indeed. I could not find a more vague way of describing what I am going to muse about here. But trust me, it will all make sense a bit later. Just bear with me. We could say, that because I am writing this on Friday, we can examine the whole happening from a more, academic perspective if you will. Everything already took place. Only thing for us is to examine the whole thing and ponder how it could, or how it should be handled.

Since I was little, I was always fascinated by Middle Ages. Mostly about castles and armies. Not really about the peasantry, how work was hard, life tedious, and plague plucked the lives of helpless people like nothing. I did not care about city life, merchant guilds, and how the word "bank" came from the word for a desk. So, when I first saw Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, I was really excited.

I had an opportunity to see a play written by Euripides titled Alcestis. Knowing the myth of Heracles and his deeds, I was familiar with the happenings, even though I never got to read the Euripides's tragedy. Insert the excuse of too many books, and not enough time. To tell you the truth, I was intrigued where the tragedy would come from, since knowing the myth, Hercules comes and saves the day. He brings Alcestis back from Underworld.

Ever since Druids got their fourth specialization I was thinking if one such could come in future for Paladins. First idea I came across was old but, for some time, proven solution. Shockadin. You see, Shockadins were spell power damage dealers that invested half their points in Retribution talent tree, and half into Holy talent tree.

I can say, and it will not be a lie, that I experienced most of the content in World of Warcraft through years. I quested my way to the highest level. On more than one occasion. On more than one faction as well. I developed my professions to their greatest potential, and I learnt an important lesson of patience through fishing. I ventured into dungeons, in times when druid could, and did steal my plate pauldrons from Zul'Farak.

It is interesting to see the preview of what is to be character creation in Elder Scrolls Online. For me, the amount of options is astonishing. Mostly because I still play World of Warcraft. And there, you can choose your race, and then maybe between ten face options, ten facial hair, ten hairstyles and you are done. The numbers are not really ten, but are somewhere close to that. It was some time since I counted the number of options given to player in character creation.

When I last logged on my Guardian, there was some immediate crisis involving Norn, Charr and a lot of flame. That is as much as I remember. I think Arena Net calls it Living Story or something like that. To be frank, I was frustrated that the content that became available was there only for awhile. And then it would go away forever. I was not frustrated because I would miss some content, but because I felt that Guild Wars II did not have enough content in first place.

Title says it all. Bane of Ogres, Thousand Ogre Slayer, Destroyer of Boulderfist. All those titles would fit my Paladin nicely after his last few days spent in Nagrand. My paladin was up to his knees in Boulderfist ogres after the deed was done. What led to all that slaughter? The Consortium. And the fact I accidentally sold 150 Obsidian Warbeads to a vendor...

Last week I was writing about the nature of surrender and how it has no place in competitive gaming. Maybe a comparison to sports would be in place here. Motto of Olympics is "Citius, Altius, Fortius" which means "Faster, Higher, Stronger". And then we have that unofficial, but often repeated phrase "It's not about winning, it's about participation." To which I will always disagree. The second phrase is so much more popular, because the number of losers is much higher in comparison to winners. There can be one winner, but thousand losers. They have to console themselves somehow.

It sounds like a dream. Account-wide professions. It sounds too good to be true. All those blacksmithing and jewelcrafting recipes I collected in banks of my alts over the years, could finally be put to use. Well, not really jewelcrafting, but it is nice to have all the recipes in the book. Without any pesky level requirements limiting me to first level the alt, so I can level up the profession.

I think it would be in vain to write how great Witcher I is. It would be in vain to say how the world the game is set in, is dark, story mature, and exposition there for a reason. All that is already well known, and by this time already said over a thousand times. Witcher has low fantasy setting, and uses it to shed light on some of the issues our society is trying to deal with even today. I will not claim, that Witcher I is critique of modern society, because I do not believe it is.

I started playing World of Warcraft in my first year of High school. That was way back in... I am too lazy to count all those years back. All I remember is that The Burning Crusade was already out, and I rolled a Blood Elf Paladin. Because Blood Elves were the only class that could be a Paladin on the Horde. And my friend at time played as Horde.
The Lightbringer, the bearer of light. The one who leades. That is what Paladin in his essence is. And there is no better example of that than Uther the Lightbringer himself. The one, after whom this raid set is named after. It surprises me to this day, how very detailed the set really is. If we take pauldrons for example. On left, there is a hammer, symbolizing justice, power, punishment, even war. On the right, there is codex, or libram whichever you prefer. Symbolizing order, peace, healing, knowledge. This is the nature of Paladin. The Lightbringer is both, the keeper of peace and ender of war.

Revelations were always my favourite part of the Bible. The book, where Apocalypse that is to come takes place. Massive armies, legions of angels, suffering, strife, hunger. And the four horsemen. Now that is something you would expect of a grand fantasy novel. Something that is fun to hear about and read. That, is great mythology. And Darksiders, in first game accomplished just that.

I was tanking the Gates of Retribution on my Death Knight the other night. Only particular reason I was tanking on my Death Knight, was the need to obtain a decent weapon, and I find myself too lazy to even try getting 20000 coins from Timeless Isle for Yak-Herder's Longstaff. To be frank, that polearm is not really worth it. As the Death Knight is already geared enough to enter Siege of Orgrimmar, any weapon from the Siege would be major upgrade over the current weapon in comparison to that polearm, that is only slightly better.

When I first saw the news, that my personal favourite champion in League of Legends is getting a facelift, I did not really know what to expect. I saw how the new skins will look. I saw how the new spells are going to look. And I was not really thrilled about it. For most of the skins I thought they were over-exaggerated. For most of the spells I thought they were too bright. Nothing was fine with me.
